High folks, OS X Yosemite has Launchy, ahem "Spotlight search" . This is a Launchy skin that emulates it, in fact there are three different skins to fit your wallpaper needs. To get the best effect I recommend using the following settings: CLICK HERE
YOU NEED THIS FONT FOR THIS TO WORK PROPERLY! (Extract the fonts, select all of them, right click on the selection and click install)
Wallpapers used in the preview are included in the ZIP file. They are by , and Flickr user coastalcreature
Hmm, the 'extra stuff' is necessary, each skin is made to go with each wallpaper. There are three skins (and three wallpapers) and two versions of each skin, one with search suggestions and one without, precisely because of the capitalization issue, which I have no control of as the skin creator.
When you install Helvetica Neue on a Windows 7 or later system, the many web pages in Google Chrome and Firefox fallback to it as they're designed to. (many web pages have Helvetica as their fallback defaults, and there is nothing the end user can do to force other fonts, but uninstall the Helvetica fonts (or alternates)) The problem with this is that Helvetica Neue was not designed for web-use.
Unfortunately, in order to keep Helvetica and still browse without problems, one must purchase the official Helvetica font, or find a different font to use.
Derp. Forgot this is text formats we're talking here... Thanks... However, is there any way to get Launchy stable on Windows 7 x64? I found this: openningia.github.io/Launchy/
But no matter what I do, No recent version of Launchy will load new plugins from the "C:\Program Files (x86)\Launchy\plugins" folder. In fact, the one provided on that above website only loads 2 vs. the complete list of plugins get loaded for the build found here: sourceforge.net/p/launchy/disc…
